The autumn season in Scotland invites to snuggle up with a cuppa tea. Tea is UK’s favourite hot drink. However, last year, Brits drank nearly 870 million fewer cups of tea than before.
Whilst the decline is driven by black tea sales, at the same time, there is a movement towards more premium, ethically sourced and specialty tea varieties.
Tea needs a revamp to gain back the excitement and to attract the younger generation. Because tea is so versatile, there is more than just one trend to look at that could drive growth in Scotland.
