My World of Work: Job Hub

A newly launched workforce portal has been developed by Skills Development Scotland to connect those looking for work with those needing additional workforce.

Job Hub is a free service which enables employers across Scotland to quickly and efficiently advertise vacancies to a broad audience through Scotland’s dedicated careers resource My World of Work.

This is a proving to be a very useful mechanism for businesses seeking to fill emerging gaps in their own workforce and adds - and provides a central connection to - the many other excellent initiatives happening on this subject.

NFU Scotland: Employment opportunities on farms

The interactive map shows the location of farms looking for staff along with contact details, with anyone interested in applying for work contacting farms directly. If you are a farm business looking for staff, please download and complete the form below and return it to NFU Scotland who will upload your details to the map.

Skills Matching Service (SMS)

During the Covid-19 pandemic it is vital that key rural and land-based businesses — including farms and businesses with animal welfare obligations — are able to access key workers and can continue operating.

To meet this need, Lantra Scotland is creating a Skills Matching Service which will put businesses and potential employees with relevant skills and experience in touch with each other.

Lantra is asking organisations (such as Colleges and Universities) that might have students or staff skilled in key areas and may be available to help out during this difficult time, to register. Registration is straightforward process, and can be done from here.
